SPR launched G40 at Ginetta Media Day

Posted on 06 March 2012

BLACKDOWN UK sponsor Stuart Pearson Racing and on Monday we were there to see the launch of the brand new Ginetta G40 at Silverstone Race Track. The day was organised by Ginetta Cars as a chance for sponsors, partners and even celebrities to get up close and personal with the cars and drivers that will be competing in the various Ginetta championships throughout 2012. SPR will be campaigning the G40 in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge.

A sunny day ensured that the track remained relatively dry throughout, and allowed the drivers to find the limits of both man and machine (and sometimes beyond!).

The newly liveried SPR G40 put on a good showing and posted some competitive lap times throughout the day. SPR were pleased to welcome in to the pit garage both new and old faces and were delighted that several high profile celebrities such as Patrick Stewart, Comedy Dave (Radio 1), Nick Knowles and Kelvin Warren (aka. Andy Sugden) took a keen interest.

Letting fans choose the design was a novel way to decide this years livery and the feedback has been great. Stuart Pearson said

“the motor sport fans have been very supportive, there was a clear winner on the design and we had so much feedback they obviously enjoyed getting involved, we’ll definitely do it again!”

When asked about this years Ginetta championship it was clear Stuart was focused and ready. With a team of sponsors behind him and huge support on the launch day at Silverstone we’re all behind another win for 2012.

This years Ginetta Championship starts on the 7 April at Oulton Park. Get involved and become a sponsor of SPR.
